Es un proyecto para un pequeño chalet dentro de una gran propiedad familiar en un abundante terreno en la riviera del Lago de Chapala. El proyecto parte de la necesidad de aislarse de la presencia de otros chalets ya existentes en la propiedad, de abrirse hacía los jardines circundantes y sobre todo de abrazar la presencia de la gran jacaranda que colinda con el terreno elegido para su construcción. Así la forma del chalet responde a estas necesidades. La inclinación de su techo responde no solo al abundante temporal de lluvia de la región si no sobre todo a la copiosa cantidad de flores y hojas que caen del árbol en primavera y otoño. La recamara principal sobre un tapanco (mezzanine) se abre a la constante y cambiante belleza de su entorno. El diseño interior opta por una atmósfera cálida y acogedora.

It is a project for a small cottage within a large family property in a bountiful lot on the riviera of Lake Chapala. The project starts from the need to isolate itself from the presence of other existing cottages on the property, as well as the need of opening to the surrounding gardens and above all the need of embracing the presence of the large jacaranda tree that adjoins the land chosen for its construction. Thus the shape of the chalet responds to these needs. Its sloping roof responds not only to the abundant rainfall of the region but to the copious amount of flowers and leaves that fall from the tree in spring and autumn. The main bedroom on top of a mezzanine opens to the constant and changing beauty of its surroundings. The interior design opts for a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
