Is a sustainable architecture project for a retreat center in the Arizona desert. The project is a bioclimatic design that has a rainwater collecting system and a system for treating wastewater, its construction is exclusively based on local materials, its energy is mainly generated by solar panels and count with a permaculture master plan for the entire Valley where the project is to be located. We were invited to propose a project that would take its inspiration from a Salesian retreat center located in Jalisco, Mexico. This in turn is based on the architecture of colonial convents and monasteries, complexes characterized by their central courtyards, their long arched covered corridors, their interior patios and their gardens. The project for 100 executive suites with capacity for 200 people, which includes, among other things, a conference hall, a star gazing deck and a yoga terrace, it is organized around a central courtyard that houses a green pool. The projects form and design is inspired by a mandala of the Tibetan tradition. The project remains unrealized.
